What is Medical Director?

Medical Director is a simple to use prescription writing, medication and patient management computer program. It was written by an Australian GP with input from hundreds of GP colleagues.

How Much Will it Cost Me?

Subscription prices are based on each full time and part time Doctor and are renewable every 12 months.

Subscribers receive quarterly updates of both the Medical Director software and the Drug Database.

Can I Use Any Computer?

Medical Director is designed to run on a 32 bit Windows Operating System which are currently supported by Microsoft and certified for use with Medical Director. For information about currently supported Windows operating systems please visit: http://support.microsoft.com/?pr=lifecycle. This means that you will need an IBM compatible computer which complies with our Hardware Requirements.

NOTE: Different operating systems may require more powerful hardware than that specified above. If you are using other software simultaneously and/or using more recent operating systems, you may require higher hardware specifications for adequate performance. How Long Will It Take Me To Learn The Program?

If you've never used a computer - don't worry! This is the program that many doctors have cut their teeth on. Medical Director has been written intuitively to suit the needs of busy GP's. You will find the program works the way you think and you'll be writing scripts within minutes.

How Do I Get All My Patients Into The Program?

There are many easy ways to create patient files in Medical Director. If using a computerised accounting program, Medical Director will allow you to transfer data easily as it links with virtually all clinical accounts packages. Please phone us for advice about other ways.

• Progress Notes - Every consultation will generate an entry in the progress notes database. Every action that is taken while in Medical Director for Windows will be recorded during the consultation - history taken, observations recorded, medications prescribed, immunisations given. All of these will automatically be formatted into a comprehensive record of that visit. Free text entry and a comprehensive systems review module will allow everything from the simplest short consultation through to a full insurance company medical or hospital admission to be recorded.
